YAAA is working to connect Yale affiliates and administrators visiting the Middle East with local alumni. The Yale Arab Alumni Association (YAAA) launched in the summer of 2007 with a series of events across the Arab World.

AMMAN On August 10th, Yale alumni came together to send off three new Jordanian students to the Yale Class of 2011.

BEIRUT On August 3rd, Yale alumni in Beirut flocked to Walimat Wardeh in Hamra for an evening of Arabic delicacies and live music by Ziad Sahhab and Shahhadeen Ya Baladna.

CAIRO On July 27th, the YAAA celebrated its inauguration in with a concert on the Nile by the Yale Whiffenpoofs at Sawy CultureWheel to a full crowd of around two hundred and fifty, followed by a party on a catered yacht cruising the Nile.
